Elephants use their trunk for lots of things. They are large animals. They travel in herds so they can protect each other. They are also big and strong. Their enemies are people. Elephants eat roots, grasses, leaves, bark, bananas, and sugar cane. It's mouth connects to their trunk. It has big teeth. An elephant will walk. It will use it's legs. They live around other elephants and food. It will travel with the elephants. It has plants around it. The elephant is a smart animal. It can protect it's self. It survives on what is around it. They have large eyes. The males tusk. There are 5 toes and nails on their front feet. There are 5 toes and 4 nails on their back feet. They are mammals. They are 8-10 feet tall. Their skin is smooth and a little rough. Babies are called a calf. They are great animals.

The mouth is close to their trunks. Their teeth are big. Their tusks are long teeth. A baby elephant is called a calf. Elephants are large animals. Their trunks are useful tools because they can carry many things. Elephants are mammals and females can grow up to 8 feet tall.
